Introduction

What Layro is and how the registry works.

Layro is an open registry for React and Tailwind components. Anyone can publish a component, and anyone can install it with one command. Every component has a live preview, its full source and a short video, so you can see exactly what you are getting before you add it.

How it works

  1. An author publishes a component from the web, a GitHub repo, their agent over MCP, or the CLI.
  2. Layro checks it, builds an isolated preview, records a short video and writes tags for it.
  3. After review it goes live in the catalog.
  4. You install it with the shadcn CLI. The code lands in your project and is yours to change.
