Installing components

Add any Layro component to your project with one command.

Layro serves every component in the shadcn registry format, so the shadcn CLI installs it. You need a React project with Tailwind CSS v4 and a components.json (run npx shadcn init once if you do not have one).

Install a component

Copy the command from any component page, or build it from the slug:

npx shadcn@latest add https://layro.dev/r/wensity/star-rating.json

The CLI downloads the source into components/layro/, installs its npm dependencies and adds the cn helper if it is missing.

Shorter commands with @layro

Add Layro to the registries in your components.json once:

{
  "registries": {
    "@layro": "https://layro.dev/r/{name}.json"
  }
}

Then install any component by its author and slug instead of the full URL:

npx shadcn@latest add @layro/wensity/star-rating

Install by hand

Every component page has a Manual tab: install the listed dependencies, copy the code into your project and fix the import paths.
