Registry format

The registry.json file Layro reads from your repo.

Layro reads the standard shadcn registry.json at the root of your repo. If you already publish a shadcn registry, there is nothing new to learn.

Example

{
  "$schema": "https://ui.shadcn.com/schema/registry.json",
  "name": "acme-ui",
  "homepage": "https://acme.dev",
  "items": [
    {
      "name": "pricing-card",
      "type": "registry:component",
      "title": "Pricing Card",
      "description": "A plan card with a monthly and yearly toggle.",
      "dependencies": ["framer-motion"],
      "files": [
        { "path": "components/pricing-card.tsx", "type": "registry:component" }
      ]
    }
  ]
}

Fields Layro uses

  • name: becomes the slug, so keep it stable.
  • title and description: shown on the card and the component page.
  • dependencies: npm packages the component imports.
  • files: the source files, relative to the repo root.
